Latest mobile tower safety for Roofers at Roofex 2013
PASMA is pleased to announce that it will be attending the inaugural Roofex exhibition in May 2013. The Association will be playing an integral part in the AIF Work at Height Safety Zone at the new trade event, with a number of PASMA member companies to attend.
Given the importance of work at height to the roofing industry, PASMA is keen to ensure that roofers are fully aware of the training and equipment available to them. It is also expected that a number of PASMA’s accredited members will be offering live demonstrations and advice on their latest mobile tower equipment, as well as exclusive ‘show deals’ on PASMA training and the guidance offered by the Association itself.
The show, which is free to enter, will also contain CPD seminars and training workshops. At a time when the roofing sector is preparing for great potential growth, it is vital that everyone affected by the industry is as informed as possible on the importance of safe work at height.
New figures show that falls from height have risen by 140% on construction sites in the last three months, now making up 23% of on-site accidents. With these easily preventable incidents rising so steeply, those within the roofing industry – who of course operate almost entirely at height – must ensure that they combat this with an awareness of height safety.
Roofex will be taking place on 1st-2nd May, 2013, at the Birmingham NEC. More details on the show can be found on the Roofex website as they become available.
