PASMA attends OSH EXPO Africa

PASMA last week took part in its first ever event in Africa. Held in Johannesburg, OSH EXPO Africa 2014 is the region's major event aimed at occupational health and safety professionals.

The Association not only took part in the expo, but sponsored its 'Work at Height Theatre', where seminars took place across the three days of the event. Speakers have come from organisations including PASMA itself, IPAF, and the Institute for Work at Height (IWH).

As part of the Work at Height Theatre, PASMA's Managing Director Peter Bennett spoke about the association's role in creating a "benchmark for low level access" through the PAS 250 standard it sponsored. PASMA's South Africa Representative Dave Bass also spoke, discussing means of protecting the public around towers.

Details about the event are available from the OSH EXPO Africa website. This includes a full listing of the seminars that took place in the Work at Height Theatre. PASMA also covered the event on Twitter and Facebook.
